Homework
Reading
Please encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes every day. Reading calendars can be found in the virtual backpack on the Prairie website. Please turn in calendars by the end of each month.
Math
students will have homework some nights and are expected to complete it and bring back to school the following morning. Students should practice their math facts for about 10 minutes everyday. Students are encourage to use Dreambox or Xtra Math on no homework nights.
Word Study
Third graders do not have words Their Way homework. Please visit the district website if you would like your child to practice their sorts at home. All sorts as well as ideas for practice are available in the district website.
Typing
Typing Agent is a program designed to teach students keyboarding skills. I highly recommend students continue to practice typing! Many assignments and assessments require typed answers, including essays. When typing itself is arduous, students can struggle to produce their best work on digital assessments.
